MG Metals carry a large range of plate in 6082T6 and 6082T651 in thicknesses starting from 1.50mm upto 8" (203.20mm) thick. The plate sizes we stock are 2520mm x 1270mm and 3020mm x 1520mm and we can cut to your required size to suit your individual requirements and deliver anywhere within the UK on very short lead times.
Aluminium alloy 6082 is a medium strength alloy and has excellent corrosion resitance. With it being the highest strength of the 6000 series, alloy 6082 is also known as a structural alloy. Alloy 6082 is the most commonly used for machining in plate form.
The addition of a large amount of manganese controls the grain structure which in turn results in a stronger alloy.

MG Metals carries a large range of Aluminium Precision Machined two sides Tooling Plate in grade EN AW 5083. The material is stocked in 3020mm x 1520mm and 3670mm x 1570mm and we can offer material sawn to size, on very short lead times, and can deliver to anywhere within the UK.
Rolling ingots are used for production, which have a fine-grained, homogeneous structure with only low microporosity created in a modified casting process and specific heat treatments. The result is precision plates which are distinguished by very uniform flatness, high strength and good technical anodising properties.
